At the Forge Trust, we are committed to supporting the emotional health and wellbeing of our pupils, their families and our staff. We know that everyone experiences life challenges that can make us vulnerable and at times, anyone may need additional emotional support. We take the view that positive mental health is everybody’s business and that we all have a role to play.
A key role for us at school is to provide pastoral support to parents/carers and help with any issues that you may have in relation to supporting your children, both at home and in school. Should you have a personal concern or school-related issue, then we are here as a listening ear. We are able to signpost you to a number of agencies who may be able to provide support to you and your family.
Classes also all have systems to ensure that children can have time on their own with their teacher if something is worrying them or if they are feeling unhappy. If children are still struggling to manage their feelings or emotions despite accessing support in school, we can refer to a range of support agencies.
Should you need any help or advice regarding issues around mental health and well-being please do not hesitate to contact us at school.
To meet the needs of all our pupils through our overall ethos and our wider curriculum. For instance, developing resilience for all.
For those who may have short-term needs and those who may have been made vulnerable by life experiences such as bereavement.
For pupils who need more differentiated support and resources or specific targeted interventions such as well-being groups or personal mentors.
We are also able to access external support for children who may have a more complex range of needs.
Mrs Bowler is also able to offer support with referrals to outside agencies or, they can be accessed directly by parents/carers. Please see contact details and web sites below for further information.
